| We are all saddened that on May 3, 2007 we lost one of our own and a very special friend when Patrick M. Stitzel passed away. It seems like everyone around here knew Pat and liked him, too. He was a strong and steady Eastern Oregon Livestock Show supporter from his youth until the end. He grew up with Stock Show as an exhibitor in his youth, to rodeo contestant, to EOLS arena director, and even entered his race horses in the pari-mutuel racing. Pat lived through some real adversity, but never let anything hold him back. He taught the rest of us a few things about perseverance. Perhaps his greatest talent was his wide smile and twinkle in his eyes when greeting an old friend. He sure knew how to make us feel special and he will be greatly missed. | ||||
