queen Kristy McKee
Hello rodeo fans! My name is Kristy McKee. I am 18 years old and currently a senior at Imbler High School. I live in Imbler with my parents, Rod and Georgia McKee. I have three siblings: Katie McKee-Turley, Cody McKee, and Kelli Jo McKee. The Eastern Oregon Livestock Show has been a large part of my life since before I was born. My siblings and myself have all taken part in showing livestock at the EOLS Junior Livestock Show. However, the EOLS rodeo became a large factor in my life when my sister, Katie, was crowned Queen of the 1997 Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. Since then, it has been my dream to stand along side my sister as a member of the EOLS Royalty.
I am highly involved in 4-H and have been for nine years where I have shown sheep and goats, and during the fall of 2009 I was selected as an Oregon Delegate for the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia. I have also been a member of FFA for 4 years where I have received my FFA state degree, and have participated in showing livestock, public speaking, livestock judging, and numerous other career development events. I also have been an avid member of the Imbler High School Dance Team for 5 years, where I have served as captain for 2 years.
This year, my new partner will be Fancy- a Quarter horse mare. I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve as a member of the 2010 EOLS Rodeo Court, and to be representing the historic town of Union, as well as the community of Eastern Oregon. I want to thank my family, friends, and the community members for all of their support towards the Oldest Show in the Northwest!

princess Shelby Hartzell
Hey, my name is Shelby Hartzell. I’m a 19 year old true ranch raised country girl, raised in the small town of Bly, OR; the daughter of Steve and Colleen Hartzell, and the younger sister of Jesse, Shane, and Mindy Hartzell.
I was six years old when I got my first taste of rodeo, on the muscled back of a massive ewe. Now, as many of you probably know, on a ranch, there is always work to be done. I have come to a great point in my life that alongside friends and family, I have the support and time to pursue this dream with all my heart. I can only imagine how great of an experience this will be.
For as long as I can remember I have been active in 4-H for some eight years, and a variety of other clubs and organizations. Growing-up watching my older siblings showing their animals only added to my desires to grow in the ranks of 4-H. Alongside this, through high school I have highly active in volleyball, softball and wrestling stats.
This year I’m more then excited to introduce my best friend Fancy (a penny lined backed copper dun mare), who will be turning three years old on April 27. I have been blessed greatly with parents who offer amazing support and guidance, and because of this I have had the greatest opportunity to raise and train Fancy since her birth.
I am not only proud, but also blessed beyond my wildest dream to have the opportunity to be representing the wonderful town of Union, and the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. I cannot wait to be a true member of the EOLS Rodeo Court, and to see all of the Rodeo Fans this summer.

princess Sarah Kellom
Hey! My name is Sarah Kellom and I am a 19 year old sophomore at Eastern Oregon University. I am the proud daughter of John and Tonie Kellom and little sister to Lynndsi Kellom. I was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon where I lived for 18 years before I moved to La Grande for college. Basketball, Volleyball, and Equestrian team were a couple of my passions in high school along with 4-H. I was also president of the Associated Student Body, class Valedictorian, and student liaison to the Rotary club and to the Klamath Falls City School District Board. I am currently attending Eastern Oregon University where I am majoring in Agriculture Business Management with a double minor in Animal Science and Crop Soil Science. Once I graduate, I plan to further my education by attaining a Master’s in Education with agriculture, math, and business endorsements. I also compete in college polo representing Eastern Oregon University and have competed in two regional tournaments now.
Ever since I was a young girl, I always admired the rodeo queens riding around the arena in their gorgeous outfits mounted on their beautiful horses. It has always been a dream of mine to be on a rodeo court. My mount for the year is my 11 year old Breeding Stock Paint, Freeway. I raised and trained him on my own from age three and can’t begin to explain all of the lessons he has taught me. I am very proud of how far Freeway has come in the past years since he and I learned everything from each other. As EOLS royalty I aim to be a strong and positive role model for the youth of Union County and every county we get to ride in. I hope to have as strong of an influence on today’s youth as the past rodeo queens have had on me. I am looking forward to the kick-off of this upcoming rodeo season!

Hey ya’ll! My name is Hailey Van Arsdale the daughter of Gina Thibodeau from Elgin. I am ecstatic and honored to say I am a member of the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show Rodeo Court. I’m looking forward to meeting many new people and making new friends. It will take oodles of hard work and dedication but the memories and friends I make on the court will be cherished forever.
