queen Ellie Clark

My name is Ellie Clark, I am 16 years old, and a junior at Union High School. I have been raised in Union, Oregon my whole life. My parents are Jim and Mendy Clark, and I have one older brother, Aaron. My family has been involved in EOLS for as long as I can remember as my dad helped run the horse races for many years. My interest in horses sparked at an early age, just riding in the pasture, then escalated to showing at the age 6. I have shown horses and sheep in 4-H and FFA at Livestock Show and Union County Fair since the 4th grade. I competed in Western Equitation and English Equitation, as well as, English Dressage. I have enjoyed competing in Barrel Club, and at the Maverick Playdays. I have also been a member of the Flag Team at EOLS for 3 years on my equine partner, Honcho.
I am very involved in FFA as I am serving as a Chapter Officer, and as the Eastern Oregon District Vice President for 2017-18. I started my FFA career as an 8th grader, and have held an officer position all four years possible. I am a 3 sport varsity athlete, competing in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. I have also participated in club Volleyball and Softball. Some of my other activities include FBLA, National Honor Society, and I am a member of the Union County Safe Communities Coalition–Youth Council.
After high school I intend to run for Oregon FFA State Office to help better our states’ FFA programs in any possible way I can. Furthermore, I plan to attend The University of Hawaii at Hilo. During my time there I hope to pursue a softball career while working toward my Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Psychology.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be on EOLS Rodeo Court. It started clear back when my mom helped with the Catherine Creek Jr. Rodeo Court. Since then I have waited and waited until I was finally of age to run. I am more than excited to represent not only my personal favorite rodeo and the PRCA, but my hometown for the whole summer as Eastern Oregon Livestock Show Royalty. I hope to be a positive role model in the rodeo community, as well as encourage younger girls to pursue rodeo. This year presents many opportunities that I can not wait to experience.
Thank you, Ellie Clark.

princess Alissa Hansen

Hello my name is Alissa Hansen, and I am 17 years old, from Cove. My mom is Stacy Supan and my father was Dwayne Hansen. I have an older brother who is going to college at UCLA and a younger sister who is 10. My dad started showing hogs at the stock show when he was 9 years old. He later worked on the stripping crew and in the hog barns. My uncle is now the President and rodeo director of The Eastern Oregon Livestock Show, and his wife Natalie and my Aunt Dena were princesses for the EOLS. So, my family has been involved with the stock show for many years.
I showed my first hog at EOLS when I was 12 and the next year I won reserve champion in confirmation. I’ve always loved animals. I participated in FFA at the state level in Greenhand Public speaking.
As well as being on the rodeo court this year, I am completing my senior year in high school. I volunteer at least eight hours a week at the Enterprise Public Library, serving the community. I have watched my grandmother as the court chaperone for 12 years and thought it always looked like fun to travel and promote the sport and camaraderie of rodeo. I am proud to represent the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show as previous royalty have done.
I look forward to meeting all kinds of people, and to a summer of rodeo fun!
Thank You,
Alissa Hansen
