Meet the 2022 Eastern Oregon Livestock Show Royal Court
Queen Emily Arnoldus
Hello, Eastern Oregon and rodeo fans! I am a 17-year-old senior at Imbler High school and was born and raised in Union County. My parents are Todd and Nicholle Arnoldus and I have one brother, Nicholas Arnoldus. I am currently enrolled at Walla Walla Community College in the pre-nursing program on top of completing my high school requirements. I plan to earn a degree in nursing and become a traveling nurse.
I have been involved in 4-H, FFA, basketball and volleyball. I have participated in numerous community service activities over the years and the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show has been a huge part of my life. Showing lambs and horses, participating in clean up day, riding in the parade, and running sponsor flags on my horse has helped me become the person I am today. I was raised on our family farm and have learned to work hard.
I have been riding horses since I was 5 years old, when a Union resident gave me my first horse. From that time, I have participated in many play days running in most of the events including barrel racing, flag race, pole bending, and goat tying. I have been in 4-H, learning about horses and showing them at the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show for more than 8 years. I have had opportunities to work on local ranches moving cows, helping with calving season, and participating in brandings. My senior project was to train my colt, Twister. I have had Twister since he was 10 months old and started with ground training. Today, he is 4 years old and I ride him regularly and continue teaching him new things. I have trained him on my own with the help of a couple of mentors, and he has turned out to be a great horse so far.
This year on the EOLS Royalty Court, I will be riding my 11-year-old quarter horse gelding named “Johnny.” This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I am really excited to be representing this rodeo and community that I love so much. I plan to be an encouragement and inspiration to others throughout this season and help to spread the love for the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show and rodeo. I have been incredibly lucky to be raised in such a wonderful community and plan to give back during this rodeo season. I would like to thank my friends and family for their support over the years, and I cannot wait to represent “the Oldest Show in the Northwest”, the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show!

Princess Emma ricker
Hello Rodeo Fans, my name is Emma Ricker, and I am competing to be your 2022 Eastern Oregon Livestock Show Rodeo Queen! I am 18 years old and a senior at Union High School. I was born and raised in Union, Oregon. My parents are Jake and Lisa Ricker and my two sisters are Ashley and Kimber. I grew up on my family’s generational ranch where I was born into riding horses. That is where my love for horses and rodeo began and grew. For as far back as I can remember, I have been helping out on my family’s ranch moving and sorting cattle, helping at brandings, and feeding. Being raised in a faith-driven, ranching family has shaped me into the person I am today.
School and community involvement are important to me. I am an active member of the Union FFA and have participated in Vet Science and Livestock judging. I am also a two-sport, varsity athlete, competing in volleyball and softball. I am serving as the senior class treasurer and have been a four-year honor roll member. Some other activities I enjoy are hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. In the fall, I plan to attend OSU at EOU to pursue a degree in animal science through the Ag Partnership Program. After I earn my degree, I plan to make my career in the agriculture industry and one day run a cow-calf ranching operation.
The trusting and truly amazing horse that will be accompanying me throughout the year is my 13-year-old mare, Handy. She has been with me from moving cattle to running flags and is now a part of the EOLS Rodeo Court.
I have been inspired by past rodeo courts since I was a young girl. This year I am able to fulfill my dream of being a member of the EOLS Rodeo Court. I am eager to put my time and effort into promoting and representing the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. I would like to thank my family, friends, community, and my mare Handy, for all of the support and for helping me to get to where I am today. Handy and I hope to see you at the 115th Eastern Oregon Livestock Show where “Cowboy Boots and Buckin’ Chutes'' are an Eastern Oregon tradition.

Princess jenna denton
Welcome to the 115th Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. My name is Jenna Denton. I was born and raised in Union, Oregon. I am 17 years old and a junior at Union High School. I am the granddaughter to Mace and Dona Schram and my parents are Robert and Heidi Denton. I am the youngest of four children. I have one older sister Tara and two older brothers Dustin and Dylan.
As a student at UHS I have been involved in 4H, FFA and volleyball in middle school. This year I found a new love and that is the sport of wrestling. I have shown Market Lambs in 4H at both the Union County Fair and EOLS. In 2021 at EOLS I showed a market hog in FFA and loved the new challenge. This winter UHS had its first girls wrestling team and I was one of two girls on the team. I went to the 2A girls state wrestling tournament in Culver, OR as the first girl to represent UHS at that level of competition in wrestling.
My family has a deep and rich history with the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. My Grandfather Mace was the veterinarian starting in 1968 and continued until he retired in 1995. He was also EOLS president for 2 years. My Grandmother Dona was the show secretary for 5 years. My Mother Heidi Schram - Denton was queen in 1984. My parents have both been on the board of directors for EOLS as well as my Uncle Jay. As a family we have spent countless hours volunteering for EOLS working on the grounds and buildings to selling food and candy in the concessions. I am a 3rd generation to be a part of such an incredible organization that is the “Oldest Show in the Northwest.”
I would like to thank my parents, family members and my community for their support. I am proud to be following in the footsteps of my family being involved with the Easter Oregon Livestock Show. I would also like to thank the Board of Directors and all the members for allowing me the great honor of representing EOLS and the great sport of rodeo.
